lls-con Posted September 26, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2006 We are docked in San Juan from 5pm-12am. I believe both the Bacardi tours and the Forts are closed after 5pm, so they are not options. Carnival offers a Bacardi tour that evening, but I can’t see spending over $60 for the tour through Carnival when the Bacardi factory is free of charge, and you can pay $1.50/pp for the ferry and $3-4/pp for a cab the rest of the way if we were able to go on our own during normal operating hours. I’m assuming we wouldn’t want to visit any beaches that later either. So, what is there to do in San Juan that late in the evening? I hear there is a Senior Frogs. What about a Carlos & Charlies? Sunshine101 Posted September 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2006 I'm also interested in what others have to say about this, since we are in San Juan until 10pm. Does anyone know what time the shops close at?

stprdi Posted September 30, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 30, 2006 We spent the night by the dock pre cruise. It's a beautiful area, lovely to walk around. There are tons of people out there till the wee hours and it seemed perfectly safe to us. There is a party boat that does several little cruises throughout the evening, it's called the Rhumba boat. Lots of happy people dancing and singing, drinking of course. The music is loud. I don't think any of the shops were open late. There is a casino in the Sheraton and some bigger restaurants close at hand. I think a Hard Rock cafe. We did the Bio Bay tour which is definitely wonderful but we didn't get back to our hotel till about 11:30 at night so you wouldn't have time for that one. Maybe you're best bet would be to hire a cab and just go for a tour. Twenty bucks will take you a fair distance and the cabbies are very nice.
