Driving to Red Hook Terminal

We are on the 10/18 sailing on the crown. Can anyone provide some Feedback on Driving to the Terminal? Was there any problem Parking ?

What about leaving ?

Hi, we were on the Sept 12-21st Crown, and the parking lot at Red Hook is HUGE. 18$ per day, and said to be safe...There definitely is a lot of traffic in/out of this area. WE arrived at 11:00 AM, and things went well, we did not park, saw others do so, and went just as quickly, the lot is actually right next to the ship.

 

Upon disembarkment, this is where it seemed to be busier, with the departure of one set of passengers, and the arrival of others. We took the Express Disembarkment, and waited 30 min for our pick up there. At 8 it was empty, by 8:30 AM it was a madhouse...

We drove in on 9/12 with no problems at all. We arrived around 1 o'clock, dropped off our baggage and then parked. We had very little traffic at that time. The lot wasn't even close to being full. The bow of the ship was right in front of us when we parked. That may help describe how short of a walk it was.

On 9/21 it took us about 20 minutes from the time our color was called, picking up the baggage and getting to the car. We did have a luggage handler bring the bags right to the car. We had no problem exiting the lot and this was around 10 o'clock...

Very easy to get to, as well as, exiting.

No problems at all. Car is safe in lot.
