Trying to get a new PVP dilemma...

MY PVP has moved on and I just hate it. She was so nice and helpful and I will miss her. I also have stopped getting the emails with the sale info, plus I have a few questions about my booking (and possibly upgrading). So I punched in online to have someone call me. The guy who called back (who was a PVP...he had at first left a message while I was away and told me who he was and gave me his extension #) was very rude and told me that since HE hadn't done my booking, even though it was through a PVP who had now left Carnival, that Carnival wouldn't allow him to help me and that I should just call the 1-800# and punch in option one to get hold of someone who could answer my questions. He seemed very rushed, and like a big ol' A$$. I told him that was fine, that I was also calling concerning booking ANOTHER cruise in the spring, but I would just call someone else and let them handle it. He said okay and hung up.

Now I know this is not typical behavior and that Carnival did NOT tell him not to talk to someone or answer questions unless he alone had nade their booking, but what now? How do I find another PVP, and one who is a hard worker and doesn't have an "I can't help you attitude". And by the way, I was very nice to him...he had no reason to act that way.

I hate to think someday my PVP will be gone. He is awesome and we really enjoy talking to him. I wish I could share his info here but we aren't allowed. I know he would take care of you!;)

You should call 1 800 819 3902 ext 83369 and speak to a supervisor they will know who you spoke to if it was a PVP.

Thank you. I hadn't thought of doing that. This guy was such a jerk, and does not need to be in sales or customer service. He was just plain ol' lying cause he wasnt in the mood to do his job. I also forgot to add that he said he had another customer on the line...like "hurry up lady"...what the heck was he doing on the phone with me then???

Oh well, it's really no biggy...I just want a new PVP. I'll try again in the morning.

Was his name Morgan?? Had a very similar experience, I reported this guy several times before he stopped calling me.

No, not Morgan, it starts with a J. Are we allowed to post their first names? My old PVP was Kelly..she did her job so well. I hope she got an even better position or something. (wishful thinking!)

Ive got his first name and ext. # Do you all think I really should report it, or just let it go???

Absolutely report him. How is Carnival going to provide world class service if they don't realize that their employees are pissing customers off. It's really your obligation to turn this person in, not only for your sake, but for Carnival and all future passengers.

Like all of us in our work, if you don't like your job or can't do it well, hit the pavement... don't stick around and make everyone else miserable.

Something like this happened to me too and I did go somewhere else to book my cruise, a mistake on my part.:( Because when the prices dropped I was SOL. I called and reported my PVP and told them because of her I booked with a TA and there reply was an "I can't help you attitude" even thought it was there rep who caused my problem. Other things happen with her also but want to make a long story short. Not only did I not get any of the $300.00 back when I received my docs I for the first time did not get upgraded, bad luck all-round for me. I finely gave up ate the loss and contained my disappointment. But I will travel with a smile for at least I will be cruising. So the morel of this story is, get yourself a good PVP anyway you can. I am planning my next cruise but first need to find the right PVP, a task I find is harder than finding the right cruise.

Okay I'm stupid ..... What is a PVP? It sounds like you are calling direct to Carnival to book your cruises and this is the person you work with??

Are you aware that a good TA can get you cheaper prices than booking direct with Carnival? And, you can speak to the same person every time. And a cruise specialist really knows cruising and will be able to answer all of your questions.

I would also advise that if your PVP did not come from a recommendation...don't ever "settle". Picking a PVP is just like picking a TA. There should be "bonding". And not everyone "bonds" to the same kind of person. I got to thinking that even though I love my PVP and would recommend him in a heartbeat (I know...can't post his name on here)....that "perhaps" not even he would make "everyone" happy.

But I certainly am glad that he makes me happy!!!

I have to agree with you LHP. We are not happy with our current PVP (as stated in a thread I started yesterday) but there has to be people that are because or I dont think she would stay a PVP long if she treated others the way we were recently.

I must be fortunate - I have the BEST, I mean BEST, PVP ever.

Glad to hear that. hope it stays that way.

Im still dealing with ours. Faxed and emailed her what she needed and just 5 minutes ago got an email confirming reciept of the fax promptly followed by another email "recalling" the confirmaition email. HUH?

Has anyone ever gotten an email with "Recall" in the subject line?

I have to disagree with you I have the best PVP...LOL ;)

I must have emailed & called him hundreds of times in the last 3 months & he is ALWAYS friendly, polite & very helpful. I was booking a cruise for 10 people & had so many questions because we are all new to cruising. I have cruised once before & used a TA who was nice but not exceptionally helpful. He tells me to call whenever I need to, if he is not avail. he always returns my calls. :D

This is him answering all my questions... working_computer.gif

Wow ! maybe we should call this the "Who has the best PVP thread"...LOL

My question is' date=' how do you get a PVP? Are you suppose to ask, or they they suppose to offer? I've never had anyone say "if you have any questions, call me at....". They've booked are cruise, and left it at that. What am I doing wrong?

[/quote']

If you fill out the form online to have someone call you , it will be a PVP, and if you click on the contact me by email option, the emails will come from the PVP.
