Riley0214 Posted September 26, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2006 DH and I will be flying in the night before for our Dec 10th cruise on the Mariner and I am having a difficult time finding 24 hour room service or late night dining (around 11:00pm) in the area. Does anyone have any suggestions? It's so odd because I am used to 24 hour room service and most hotels end their service at 10:00! Thanks! JanineM Posted September 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2006 Remember that Port Canaveral and Cocoa Beach are a bit less urban than some areas. We live in Melbourne, 15 minutes south of the port. Outback is open until 1 am on Fridays and Saturdays, so there must be some other places open late. Here are names of some local restaurants. You might want to google them and try to find hours of service: - Yen Yen's (excellent Chinese at Cocoa Beach) - Mango Tree - Bernard's Surf - Durango's (local rib/steak joint) - RJ Gators (local TGIFriday's type place) - all of the big chains have restaurants on Merritt Island or Cocoa (TGI Fridays, Olive Garden, Longhorn, Outback, Red Lobster) - Black Tulip (high end European) - Slow & Low (beachside barbeque in Cocoa - I know their bar is open really late!) - Gregory's Steakhouse Here is a link to a restaurant guide. There are others available. http://goflorida.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?zi=1/XJ&sdn=goflorida&zu=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ci.cocoa-beach.fl.us%2Fvisitors%2FDining.htm Hope this helps!!! Karlee106 Posted September 27, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 27, 2006 Did you try Cocoa Beach? It's right down the road a couple of miles and it is more of a late night area. Ron Jon's surf shop, as well as, a couple of the other stores are open 24/7. I would guess there would be restaurants open also, and there are lots of hotels. mill231 Posted September 27, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2006 We got in late too. The man at the hotel recommended a place called Dirty Harry's. It is a few blocks from the port in the opposite direction of the bridge in a strip mall. It does not sound or look like much, but they had wonderful crab legs, ribs, and the soup was very good too. bobbie0253 Posted September 27, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 27, 2006 http://www.fishlipswaterfront.com/ The group of CCers we sailed with went there, and I wish we did too. We went to FlyingJ's or something like that. It was okay, but the party seemed to be at Fish Lips :) Also we stayed at the Radisson, and I seem to remember 24 hour room service. Not sure though. I know we ordered after 11:00pm.
Riley0214 Posted September 29, 2006 Author #6 Share Posted September 29, 2006 Thanks so much! I was thinking we would have to change our flight but now that I know we have some options I won't have to :)
