Good beaches in GC.

I am looking for a good beach in GC, any one got an opinion on it?

We're scheduled to go there on the 9th of Nov. From reading on the boards there seem to be a lot of raves about Rum Point.

We're headed to Grand Cayman in December (NCL Majesty). We have not made any plans for this port... We are interested in spending the day at a beach (one with chairs/umbrellas, etc.).

Seven Mile Beach is just north of Georgetown where the tenders dock. Sea Grape Beach is on 7MB near the middle that is a public beach with food, chairs, umbrella and water toy rentals. It is inexpensive to get there by taxi. If you want a less crowded beach, go to Cemetery Beach just farther north on 7MB. It has no facilities, but it is nice and secluded. If you want to rent a car, or spend a small fortune on taxi fare, Rum Point is an option. It is a tropical paradise that is usually not too crowded. The best way to go there is on an excursion the includes Rum Point.

I assume that 7MB has chairs and umbrellas to rent also?

7MB is seven-miles long. There are parts that have chairs and umbrellas, such as Sea Grape as I posted on Oct 20.

We will be in Grand Cayman in February. Many have posted about the inexpensive taxi rides to get to Sea Grape Beach but what about getting back to the ship ?? Do taxis make stops there ?? We dont want to rely on a taxi to return for us. We've done that twice and they did not return both times.

Rest assured there will be many taxis waiting all day long at Sea Grape Beach to take people back to the tender docks in town.

We take a taxi up to the Westin Resort. You can't use their chairs, but the beach is not crowded at all. I use their bathroom if needed in the lobby area. There is a bus stop right across the street from the resort we usually take to get back to town.
