Rver Rafting or River tubing

RCCL and other private companies offer 2 excursions that looked interesting:

 

River rafting...4 1/2 hours down the old Belize river

 

And river tubing..this is NOT cave tubing... 1 1/2 hours tubing down a river to some Mayan ruins. The Mayan ruins probably aren't much, but what about the tubing?

 

Any body go on either of these or have any recommendations?

I too am looking for info on these excursions. NCL offers them as well. Wondering if any private venues also offer them.
