Dolphin Swim with RCCL

Hi! We booked the dolphin swim with RCCL as one of our excursions. Should we not have booked with them directly and called the dolphin place and done it that way? I figured if we did the excursion through the ship they make sure we get there ontime and are able to do it. Will they pick us up first thing and do this early so we have time later in the day before we leave to do something else? they will take pictures for us, right? My husband and I are both doing it so we want to make sure we get pictures. Thanks !
