A chuckle--the ship is the VALor, not the VelOUR!

I heard from someone "in the know" in Carnival reservations that many TAs, when booking the ship, refer to it as the VelOUR (like the fabric), instead of the VALor (the heroism). We're kind of wondering if that is something of a commentary on today's society--that people just don't hear about things like valor & courage.

My sister suggested that it could become a whole new theme for Carnival ships--the Velour, the Suede, the Satin, the Taffeta... (kind of fun to think up names!).

Here are a few:

The Chintz - for those on a budget

The Silk - for those who like their cruises soft and smooth

The Wool - for those who are always cold in the winter

The Chiffon - for those who like to stand at the railing and flutter in the breeze

The Poie de Soie - for those who like fancy words and put on airs

The Cotton - for those who just want to be comfortable

The Velvet - for those who like a little "nap" now and then

:D :D :D
