Questions for Suey or Frog_cruiser

Hi guys and welcome back. A couple of questions for you. As P&O keep changing stuff I am keeping an eye out on what is happening each cruise leading up to ours.

 

What theme/party nights did they have? Have a costume for each type but don't know which one to pack.

 

Do you know if 2nd sitting had shows before or after dinner?

 

What is the best way to get from the airport? Taxi.

Four nights out of seven on our cruise the shows for the 2nd Sitting were before dinner. Our theme nights on a seven nighter were 2 Formal, Rock n' Roll and Retro, Country & Western, and Island.

Sorry, to bug you Rallo, you actually had Rock & Roll AND Retro. I P&O told us it was one or the other. More clothes to pack!!! :)

It was a combined Rock n' Roll & Retro Party on the Lido Deck - not a lot of dressing up as far as I could tell. I didn't stay up very late that night

Oh, decisions decisions, swing skirt or daggy 70s.

Well we had retro and swing would be best.

Island night was the only theme nights we had.

2nd sitting only had to early shows.

1st night and Lucky Grills show

I am sure Suey will fill you in on most our news.

After picking up the tickets and upsetting her I think I will leave her to put her review first;) :D

As froggy said on this cruise we only had Island Night, no other theme nights at all.

They did have a rock and roll dance night but not really as a theme and no-one dressed for the occasion.

The shop was actually selling off their retro gear and cowboy hats so I think that theme nights are now a thing from the past:mad:

It sounds like they do the themes when it suits. Wonder why? Makes it hard to decide what to take or whether to take costumes!!

Not to mention that hubby is having fit about how much I have spent money and timewise with costumes. About $60 all up, that include the skirts for the others.

Taxi is really your only alternative, unless you can hitch a ride on the buses doing the P&O transfers. In Sydney we were able to this ($8 pp) even though we hadn't pre-booked our airfares/transfers with P&O. The bus driver approached us when he saw our blue folders and luggage tags.

We used the buses in Sydney last time too without using their flights.

Hi cruisers.

If you don't use P&O buses, use the shuttle bus. I use them sometimes, the last time it was only $10.00 .(that was for the Sun in Sydney)$15.00 return. they will also take you from the ship to airport.
