jackdaniels5 Posted October 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2006 Hello everyone, My wife and I first cruised on the RCCL Explorer and then, shortly after, the RCCL Serenade. We found that having a large open promenade area was something we enjoyed. We have since cruised on the other Voyager class ships and were looking for an alternative line with a similar large, open space inside the ship. Intuitively, we have looked for other large ships (100+ tones), but were wondering if some of the board regulars knew of smaller ships with a similar design. For bonus pts, we have vacation coming November 3 - November 18 and are DEFINITELY taking a cruise! TIA for any help J
Cruzman Posted October 8, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2006 Carnival Spirit Class and Fantasy Class have large atriums such as those that you mentioned. The smaller Princess ships such as the Sea Princess and Sky Princess also.

wrp96 Posted October 9, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 9, 2006 If you are specifically talking about the Royal Promenade inside the ship, there is nothing like that on any other cruiseline. I fear you will be disappointed if you are comparing the atrium of the Carnival or Princess ships with the Royal Promenade on the Voyager class - especially if you preferred the Voyager class Royal Promenade over Serenade's Centrum area.
