cruzin23 Posted October 9, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2006 Hi, I am currently booked on the Crown in a balcony on the caribe deck (midship). I now have the chance to change to an aft balcony on the Baja deck. I've always wanted to try an aft balcony, but I also heard that the Caribe balconies are the biggest. Are the aft balconies much smaller? If anybody can share info about what the Baja aft balconies are like (are the covered?), it would help in my decision! Thanks! CPCruiser4Life Posted October 9, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2006 I changed my room because of all the RAVE REVIEWS about Baja aft cabins. They all are COVERED They all can have 2 chaise lounges, 2 chairs and a small table What more could you ask for, plus the view seems to be amazing! It will be my first Aft balcony on the CB this July! Im B754! B750/751 have a beam! I would definitely switch, but I never had personal experience with them! Either way, you're going on a cruise, a win-win situation!
janetz Posted October 9, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 9, 2006 We just had our first aft on the Legend and the view over the wake was the best! Take the aft! :)

Either way, you're going on a cruise, a win-win situation! We just got off Crown Princess today. We stayed in Baja Aft Cabin B754 and loved it. However, my DD stayed in Caribe midship C422 and had a larger balcony than ours. Her balcony was half covered, so she stayed in the covered section but enjoyed the larger balcony. There was more noise in B754 because the airconditioning units are nearby. However, it didn't bother us that much. We loved watching the wake in the moonlight. Next time, I will try a Caribe balcony like my DD's. We got alot more exercise walking from the back of the ship. Either way, the cabins are great--except for the small showers with a tiny shelf for shampoo and soap. We had to keep our conditioner on the floor. Safes were not always working properly, and there are still complaints about airconditioning not being cold enough.
cruzin23 Posted October 9, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted October 9, 2006 Thanks for all the info! Leafpeeper, was your baja balcony covered? Did they have any furniture out there? Thanks!
CPCruiser4Life Posted October 9, 2006 #6 Share Posted October 9, 2006 I know there are AC units in between B755 and B756, but you really could hear this "white" noise from your room in B754? Please go into more detail on the noise of the AC. Thanks, Scott
Steven_&_Daniel Posted October 10, 2006 #7 Share Posted October 10, 2006 Your post reminded me of several related posts that may be of help... http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=7792203&postcount=19 http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=7821071&postcount=32 Here's an aft photo (not mine) of the CB, the Crown should be identical. If you view full size, you can check to see which cabins that the infamous support beam. http://travel.webshots.com/photo/1303232473015325211JYUchp
