Crown Grill - Can you dine there on 1st night?

For those who have sailed Crown Princess, can you dine in the Crown Grill on the first night (sailaway night)? Once you board the ship, can you make a reservation for later that same night?

We had that option on 9/12, so YES. We boarded, went straight to the room and called Sabatini's and the Crown grill. To add a sidenote: WE had our choice of any night, and any time..HTH:)

Hello. We just came back from the Sept. 30 sailing and we ate in the Crown Grill the first night. It was wonderful. The dining room menu didn't have anything that I was particularly looking forward to having so we decided to eat there the first night. There were only about 3 tables in use but the dinner was wonderful. There were more people as the week went on. We ordered 3 entrees - yikes!!!. My favorite was the spicy shrimp. We also ordered a few appetizers and side dishes. We also tried two of the soups too. I enjoyed everything except the piece of sea bass. I liked all the trimmings - just did not care for the piece of bass. My husband ordered filet mignon because he was looking for a "leaner" steak and he said it was very good. I know this is a long reply but we really did enjoy our evening there!!! Hope you do too!!

Yes you can. In fact, that is a good night to try the alternate restaurants, because most people try and book them later in the week.

 

You can go right to either restaurant when you get on the ship and make a reservation.
