dashadow Posted October 12, 2006 #26 Share Posted October 12, 2006 We too went on the stingray excursion this past june. Unfortunately I cant remember the name of the tour company but they were one of the ones at the dock holding signs. Good price, boat nice enough, snorkeling, went to the same place as all the other boats...everything just fine. We did however have one of the local photographers on the boat and just for fun if you get one watch him for a while and see what he does while your in the water. Ours would peek around and if he saw anyone taking pictures with their personal camera he would accidentally get in front of them and start taking his own pics. It was kind of funny once we were onto him. Besides his blocking practices he seemed like a nice guy and his prices were negotiable. We bought a CD, which by the way he sends to you at your home address, which did in fact show up a couple weeks later.
YoungL Posted October 14, 2006 #27 Share Posted October 14, 2006 Yep! I did quite a bit of research on this -- mobydicktours.com. It's HALF the price of the ship's excursion and it is a much smaller tour! :)
Jandcbrown Posted October 15, 2006 #28 Share Posted October 15, 2006 We used them Sept, along with Suzy on here! It was Sheldon's boat....fantastic. Snorkeling, stingrays, Rum Point, food, water & punch, snorkeling equipment - $60 pp. Then the personal DVD - $65 (which was an awesome 30 min...just finished showing it again...it's at high demand in this desert!!!) Awesome, awesome!! Our 3 guides and videographer were easy going, helpful, and ready to serve!!!
Irish708 Posted October 15, 2006 #29 Share Posted October 15, 2006 :p We went with Captain Bryan's in August and loved it ! Cheaper than the ship, and we had a great time. There is alot about it on the Cayman boards, and that is how I decided to go with him......... Have a great time, it is alot of fun. You go to Stingray City and snorkeling afterward!
