I was wondering when you first board the Star, whether or not you get complementary champagne. I aslo wondered whether you get complementary chocolates on our pillows everynight. The Century did those things.

chocolates on pillow every night, towel animals most nights. on some of the smaller ships we were on, they had free welcome drinks. on the star there were no free drinks. the only free drinks we had in the casino were when the "bosses" bought for the table. the casino did have a small snack buffet most nights.

Thankyou very much. Ya'll have been really helpful to me so far. We didn't even have small buffets on the Century. This is great. We also did not get complementary drinks in the casio either. We had free pool-side drinks, but you had to earn them for doing something crazy, like screa. That was quite interesting. It was almost like Spring Break in Sept. I can't wait to go.

If you are in a suite, though, you do get a complimentary bottle of champagne for embarkation. The champagne was actually quite nice! (Don't know what room you have.) You can also pre-order a bottle of champagne, to have it waiting in your room when you get there. Some people order the "anniversary package", regardless of if they even have an anniversary, and I believe it comes with choc covered strawberries, champagne, free photo, etc.

Have fun!

That's ok - any cabin with a balcony is a fabulous cabin to me! :D Nothing better than breakfast in your robe out on the balcony. I say, just order your champagne and have it waiting for you - but then again, I'm a sucker for champagne on a cruise. We met a really nice couple from Canada on the Star, and on the last night of the cruise, the wife said to me (with a smile!), "Every time I see you, you have a glass of champagne in your hand!" :o Yep, that would be me.

You can buy the Honeymoon/ Anniversary package before you sail that gives you a bottle of Sparkling Wine and Strawberries on departure. Then you get a photo, cake and champaign party one day on the ship and then dinner for 2 at Le Bistro with a bottle of wine. This costs $79.00 and seems like a pretty good deal. Hope this may solve your problem. Le Bistro is $15.00 a person.
