zoozoo Posted October 16, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2006 After doing alot of research on the best (and cheapest) way to get to the cruise terminal, we decided to go with Machu Picchu Travel Services. We picked the option of paying $20 for the first day then $12 per night while we're on the cruise. For that fee, we go directly to their facility. They deliver us to the hotel the day beforethe cruise, pick us up at the hotel and take us to the cruise terminal on cruise day, then pick us up after the cruise and take us back to our car. We booked a room at the Holiday Inn on Royal Street through Hotwire. Hopefully, we made the right decision. Has anyone used the Machu Picchu parking service, and if so, how was it and would you recommend it again?
jgmpuma Posted October 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2006 We have friends who used it Pre-K and were very satisfied with it.
zoozoo Posted October 21, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted October 21, 2006 Thanks for responding. It does seem to be the best deal. Even if you have a park and cruise hotel package, you still have to take a cab or walk back to your hotel after the cruise which will add on to the total cost. The Machu Picchu web site makes the reservation process very simple.
zydecocruiser Posted October 21, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 21, 2006 I know several people who were very satisfied with the service - again pre-K. I'm kind of surprised more places don't offer the service? FYI, not far from their location is a Super WalMart if you want to pick up just about anything. zoozoo Posted October 21, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted October 21, 2006 Thanks for the Walmart update. Our group has four women, so I'd imagine at least one of us will need to hit Wallyworld. lol.
