Scuba in St Martin in December

Anyone have experience. We are on the Carnival Valor. How are the conditions that time of year? Any great dive shops near the pier?

There is a dive shop in St Maarten, however, you should be aware that SXM is not really known for the best diving. If there is another island that you will be stopping in; you might want to check that out instead. Just don't want you to be disappointed.
