Grandeur vs Splendour ??

Recommended Posts

We sailed on the Splendour last Feb and have a trip booked on the Grandeur in January -- I see the Grandeur holds about 400 more passengers - -is there much difference in the 2 ships? Are the cabins similar -- the layout? Any specialty restaurants on the Grandeur.

Just curious....you know how it is when you book a different ship! :)

Hi! Can't speak to the other ship you named, but the Grandeur was fantastic! Sailed beginning of September, and we had a few rainy days, but the ship was never crowded. I was always able to find a lounger near the pool; pool was never packed. Only space crunch I ever saw was the Windjammer for lunch! We tried to stay in the DR for most meals (service was great!). There are no specialty restaurants, but there is a Ben & Jerrys' that's at additional charge (however, if you're buying a sundae/drink the baked goods are free). My kids loved B&J. I think that's where most of the money went! Make sure to check out the card room and the library on deck 7 - most of the time they were a great place for peace and quiet! We were in a balcony on deck 7. Anything else, please ask :)
