Libba Posted October 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2006 We're driving in to Fort Lauderdale for our cruise on the Radiance of the Seas. Can anybody give me details on the parking situation at Port Everglades? Specifically, I'm looking for the daily cost, availability, proximity to RCL terminals, and type (covered or uncovered)? Any help would be appreciated.
Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted October 25, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2006 There is a huge covered parking garage right across from the Royal Caribbean docks. There usually is plenty of space although you may have to go up a floor or two. I don't know how he does it, but my husband usually manages to find a place on the ground floor, but we arrive at the dock around eleven AM. The garage is right across the street from the doors where you enter to check in. It doesn't take too long to park your car and walk back to the check-in place, maybe ten minutes at the most. What we always do is leave our big bags at the baggage check in. There are porters waiting to take your bags. I take our two carry on bags and wait by the check-in door and Hubby goes to park the car. I seldom wait as long as ten minutes for him to return. The cost has been twelve dollars a day, but do not be surprised if the price goes up. I read somewhere Miami has gone up to fifteen a day, so Fort Lauderdale proabably won't be far behind once they find out. Have a great cruise on Radiance. We will be sailing her very soon, too.
