suedownunder1 Posted October 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2006 I was very upset after booking a Dive onboard for Cabo san Lucas last week.the problem was that the price was almost double that the shops Charge. After our Dive we looked around the shops In Cabo (that were only a short walk from the dock) and found them all half the price of the onboard ticket and this included the shop we dove at.Next time we plan to book on line or just get off and look around for a shop.

Next time, I would advise you do a little price shopping before you book your excursion.
TicTac#2 Posted October 29, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 29, 2006 Yes there are two paths you can go by...... I'm not defending the prices charged by the cruise lines, but there are advantages in booking, as you did, from the cruise line. 1) You perhaps saved some time as you didn't have to hunt down a shop. 2) You were left behind because your dive ran late. 3) You may have had a safer dive, with better equipment. 4) You may make some friends by going with your shipmates. Is is worth it...I've done both...and I still don't know for sure...
