My DF and I booked our Honeymoon cruise on June 4th on the Miracle. We are realy excited however we are kind of nervious.... It will be our first cruise. We got upgraded to a 8I balcony from a balcony garantee. Is 8I good? And what would the odds be of getting into a Suite from that cabin. My DF gets seaHow often o people get sea sick on te boat? Should be book our excursions from Carnival or strike out on our own. What are the benifits of both. Im sure there are going to be a ton more questions but would appreciate help on these. Were exicted but nervious that we;ll be bored becasue we always travel, and go all over the place and were kind of scared being confined to one spot.

I thought the same way, and even brought a book and my walkman, even though it was my honeymoon. Never used either.

Those 7 days were the fastest days that ever went by!

And it was then the first of many.

Hi and I just want to say that don't be too nervous. You two will not get bored unless you just sit in your Balcony room which again is alot of fun as well. There is too much to do and alot to see on the Ship. Just check your Carnival Capers for Show times and other Activities that are offered.

Now about shore Excursions. I personally would book through Carnival Only, Because if something went wrong on Excursion that would make you miss the scheduled Departure then the Ship would just leave you. But if you book through Carnival then the Ship will wait.

Well I hope this helps a little.

Happy Cruising.

You will have a great time me and my husband went on our honey moon on the sensation and I was so scared but when you board you will think "I can't believe this is a ship" as far as sea sick goes you can't really feel it unless the water is really choppy and you are sitting still. but even so just go to your room call roomservice and ask them to bring you some Dramamine " I think that's what it's called" and 15 minutes later you are ready to roll..I got sea sick at the casino. I could feel the ship rocking back and forth but only because it was storming that night and it really wasn't that bad like I said only when you are still and trying to feel it. you will want to take a cruise every year where else can you go for the price you pay. I mean your room, food, shows, pool, and ROOMSERVICE!!!:D at all hours of the night. where else can you go for that for the price you pay not having to pick up after your self and someone there right behind you at your becken call. It's awesome you will love it. But don't feel bad about feeling scared I'm sure everyone is the first time until the first night then all worries out the window.

Well that's up to you. yeah they are cheaper off the boat but the boat knows where you are and if there is a problem where you can't get back in time they know about it and will wait but if you went off on your own and some thing happen they have no clue you arent back and will leave you and not come back!!! so yeah it's worth the extra $$.

relax and enjoy....I'm just off the Miracle and loved it. Check out the link in my signature....I have ton's of Miracle information, photo's, capers and excursion links. The site is for my new cruise(the Miracle) but there are link bars to the past sailing.

There are a few very reputable excursion companys...with research you'll learn who the good ones are....the only excursion I've ever been on that had problems was a Carnival booked excursion.................and they were very quick to say that they only recommend excursion companies and aren't responsible for issues that arrise. You have time, do your research( also read the Roll Calls for the few weeks before yours).

...and to respond to the cabin issue, if you booked a specific cabin, the cruise line will not put in a suite, I am sure it has happened, but lightning strikes are rare, with a guarantee you have a better shot, but the only reason they move specific cabins is if you are a handicap or room that can accomodate more people than you need.

You were upgraded to an 8I. DO NOT even think about getting a suite, your chances are about the same as winning a couple of million in the casino. But ALL BALCONY cabins are terrific.

First cruise book excursions thru Carnival. After you get hooked on cruising and CC, you'll learn to book on your own.

Sea sick is not a worry on today's big ships. But if the ocean's rough you will feel it. Stop by the infirmary, they have a box on the wall outside loaded with Mal Der Mer meds, then you'll have them if it gets rocky. Besides its part of Ship Exploration101. Do not locate the bars first, you'll fail SE101 if you do. I did.:D

We always pack Bonine just in case we start to get seasick. It doesn't cause the drowsiness that dramamine does, and it's easy to just have it with you. Some cruises I just take one pill during the whole cruise, and sometimes I take more, but I always make sure I have enough along for all of us to take it as much as we need to, just in case the sea is rough or someone turns out to be particularly sensitive to motion.

Heck, on our last cruise, I was getting a little woozy from the action of the sea rocking the boat agaisnt the dock before we even left port, so I took one Bonine. That was the only one I needed all week.

Enjoy your honeymoon; a cruise is a great way to treat yourself without having to make a lot of detailed plans. I'm guessing you have enough plans to make with the wedding!
