Room Service: Breakfast

I'm considering the Emerald and Star Mediterranean cruises, and I'm wondering what's on the room service menu for breakfast (included in cruise price)? Are there "hot" items, such as waffles, pankcakes, omlets? Or just "cold" items?

 

Also, the Balcony Breakfast that is $25, does that have "hot" items?

Room service breakfast would be limited to seasonal fruit, cereal, pastries and juices. No hot items except for tea and coffee

The might be some posters who will suggest that you "write in" hot items that you would like (eggs, bacon, etc.) when you fill out the Continental Breakfast Order form the night before. Sometimes this works; sometimes it doesn't.

 

It was my experience on the CB twice that no hot items other than coffee/tea were delivered for breakfast.

We tried it a couple of times last week (in a mini-suite) on the CB and nothing hand written was delivered. Since they have the UBD & UBB, it looks like getting hot breakfast is a thing of the past (unless your in a full suite).

The only hot items I remember on the balcony breakfast were the quiche and the potato. We have done the balcony breakfast and the dinner and both are worth every cent.

Only way to be assured of a hot breakfast from room service now is to be in a full suite, VS or above. Wish they wouldn't have changed this perk, but alas, they did.

Especially on the larger Grand Class ships, it is very hard to get 'write in' items anymore. :(
