Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone has been to Spanish Bay Reef Resort, because we're thinking of having our wedding there. Any thoughts or experiences good/bad?

Went to this resort as an excursion a couple of years ago. It is an older property and a little run down. I thought it was over priced as an excursion. It is DEFINITELY not any place I would recommend for a wedding.

 

Grand Cayman is beautiful and I feel you'd be very disappointed here.

Thanks guys! Yeh, I visited my TA today to put more $$ down on my Jan (now Feb) cruise on the Serenade and she wasn't too thrilled with the idea of Spanish Bay Reef Resort. It's sorta tough because we really like Grand Cayman because it's ahem...safe and not too run down (I don't mind islands w/bad areas but the people that would accompany us might)....maybe the fact that it has 500 banks has something to do w/it hehe....but GC is so expensive and I wouldn't want to make everyone spend tons of $$ to go to our wedding. SBR was our last hope but I guess it's not such a good idea! We're thinking Aruba because it's pretty nice and I think it's on the same level as GC. Anyway, thanks for your opinions - you pretty much confirmed what I had a feeling of.
