MamaParrotHead Posted November 5, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2006 Everyone's talking about "ginger pills" to ease motion sickness. I looked for them today at the store and found "ginger root" pills...are they the same? And how many/what times do you all take them? Thanks. 232271 Posted November 5, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2006 :) yes, ginger root is what you need. I swear by them for any type of motion sickness and nausea. I use them when I feel queasy at home! Hope they work for you! If you ever watch a show called Mythbusters they did an episode on motion sickness remidies and ginger worked for them!! Oh, I take one an hour before I might need it and then one every 3 hours the entire time I need them. They are safe to use. Just remember to drink plenty of water with them, if they dont get all the way to your tummy, you might feel a warm sensation in your chest. Mysticks1 Posted November 5, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2006 I got my Ginger Root Capsules at WalMart - $3.88 for 100 - 550 mg ( they were with all of the vitamins & minerals). I take 2 in the morning and 2 at night with a full glass of water. If you haven't taken them before I would suggest you start a couple of days before your cruise. I always begin the day before and continue through the day after.
