FLL Airport Sheraton

I can't believe it's less than a month! DH and I will be flying in from L.A. and staying overnight at the Sheraton, which is actually in Dania, near the FLL airport. They have a complimentary airport shuttle. They are located 5 miles from Port Everglades. Can anyone tell me approximately what kind of cab fare we're looking at to get from the hotel to the pier. THANKS!!

Ask if their shuttle will take you to the port? Some hotels will.

They should know how much the taxi fares would be, just call and ask them.

We stayed there about 5 years ago; was a really nice hotel then. Best fresh OJ at a hotel I'd ever had! Airport to port is about 10-12 bucks, depending on traffic time. The hotel is on a main drag at the south side of the airport so it should be a little more. Most of the airport area hotels offer a 3rd-party (not run by the hotel) scheduled port shuttle service, but for 2 people a taxi's usually cheaper, and you can leave any time you want. The hotel front desk can give you all the options - worth a call. Cheers,

Thanks for the info! I will certainly ask the concierge at the hotel; maybe one of their staff would be interested in making a quick 10 bucks, instead of us using a cab. Thanks again for the advice - CC'rs are the BEST!
