gooselover Posted November 6, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2006 What side if your choice side in a cabin and why? Any advantages/disadvantages of one over the other?????? Thanks!
Druke I Posted November 6, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 6, 2006 I don't think it really makes much difference whether Port or Starboard - when in port they sometimes dock starboardside and sometimes portside. Itinerary may or may not influence your choice - many think Alaska is one itinerary where the side of the ship is very important.

Sue L Posted November 6, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 6, 2006 Most times it does not matter, because the ship docks in different directions at different ports and sometimes differently from sailing to sailing. I think it most matters when doing something like a northbound or southbound for Alaska when the cruise is more scenery focused as opposed to just getting from one port to another in the open ocean. bubbadog Posted November 6, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 6, 2006 i usually check the route the ship is taking and then decide which i want, which is the one facing land the most, unless im after an aft cabin then it doesent matter:)));)
