Starboard?/Port Cabin and Why?

Recommended Posts

I don't think it really makes much difference whether Port or Starboard - when in port they sometimes dock starboardside and sometimes portside.

Itinerary may or may not influence your choice - many think Alaska is one itinerary where the side of the ship is very important.

Most times it does not matter, because the ship docks in different directions at different ports and sometimes differently from sailing to sailing. I think it most matters when doing something like a northbound or southbound for Alaska when the cruise is more scenery focused as opposed to just getting from one port to another in the open ocean.
