Back to back Shows

Just curious if anyone has ever gone to both the early and late show for the same show on the same night. Is this frowned upon? Are you taking someone else's seat if you stick around for the second show?

I realize the show will be the same, for the most part. I suppose the hypnotist would have different passengers involved so it would be slightly different.

For the big production shows, I wouldn't think that would be such a good idea.

Yep, you'd be taking a seat that should be for someone else. (Normally, the early performance is the for early diners; late is for late diners. That way everyone has a seat.) It's the same exact show anyway. I enjoy them, but wouldn't care to see them twice in one night.:D

The other shows - comedians, magicians - I don't know anything about, as I don't go to those.

Thanks for the response,

I suppose a good rule of thumb would be if we really want to stay for a second show, leave and come back just before it starts, if the room is only half full, stay, if it is any fuller than that, leave.

Obviously if it began to fill up later, we would leave to give someone else a chance to see it.

The main shows seat half the ship's capacity. If the other half were all eating the other public rooms would be empty, but of course they are not. I have never seen a show where all seats were taken and guests were turned away. I see no reason not to enjoy the show twice, but out of consideration for others, taking a back seat for one show would be very courteous.

When we sailed on the Ecstasy in August our daughter was the lead singer in the production shows. We enjoyed the country show so much and figured we had flown a long way to see her in her first professional gig, so the whole family went to the early show after our dinner, then hubby and I went back for the late show. We waited until the show was about to start and sat in the back of the balcony. Although the theatre was pretty full, there were still quite a few seats available upstairs, and I didn't feel like I was taking anyone's seat. There are plenty of people who have no interest whatsover in seeing the shows, I wouldn't think it would be a problem as long as you were courteous and didn't hog the front row both shows.

Wow, how exciting for y'all to see your DD have the lead! I'm sure in your case, I'd have definitely been at both shows...even if I had to stand up through the performance. What an experience for your DD to have y'all there, as well.:)
