Old As Dirt Mom Posted November 7, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 7, 2006 We're currently waiting for our documents to arrive for our Panama Canal Holiday Sunfarer cruise on the beautiful Amsterdam! Until they do arrive, I'm perusing all the HAL brochures for our trip with glee, especially the 2006 Holiday catalog. On the inside cover is a list of all the extra special touches that HAL adds for their holiday sailings. We will be travelling with HAL over both Christmas and New Year's, so we are happily anticipating the following treats of the season: *Special Holiday Fare - roast turkey, pheasant, goose, Christmas day dinner with all the trimmings *Royal Dutch High Tea with fanciful holiday cookies and pastries *Ceremonious Yule Log Parade through the main Dining Room (replacing the Baked Alaska parade, I suppose) *Christmas morning brunch, North Pole Show Buffet *New Year's Eve Holiday Ball with complimentary champagne toast *Gala Black and White Ball *Holiday crew show, caroling and sing-alongs *Christmas tree lighting ceremony *All through the ship: poinsettias, wreaths, Christmas trees, gingerbread villages *Nightly turn down service with special pillow gift on Christmas Eve *Santa's arrival with gifts (and photos ops of course! ) *Santa's Milk and Cookies Late Night Snack for kids ****(And most important of all): a Protestant minister, a Catholic priest, and a Jewish rabbi (during High Holy Days only) to help you celebrate your special religious traditions**** It all sounds marvelous:) Karin
