Geez oh whiz! I must be one of those boozing, smoking, gamblers who they see coming a mile away.

On June's Freedom cruise my seapass was just under $1000, but that didn't include the $500 cash I lost in the casino and spent in ports. My excursions and tips were also pre-paid. And this is just for ME! The only non-consumables I purchased during the week were two photos, and I didn't do spa-services or specialty restaurants either.

Guess I need counseling! :)

Ahhh, Tracy, to be young single. I had my boys with me--so I had to stay on respectable street. Just feeling a twinge of envy.......

Hey Killa, how ya likin this rain? I'm here in RI. QUOTE]

Yeh, I'm over it and would much rather it just be cold and dry than this luke warm rain in November thing!!! My basement it just permanantly wet at this point. . Most of my friends/boyfriends family all live in RI (Westerly), and we're only 6 miles from the border (love it - you're package stores are open much later!:D )

We usually spend about $100 a day, but we buy very few pictures ( I never like how I look in them), 2 drinks a day each, souveniers (mostly for the kids), casino is cash only and from the day we book a cruise to the day we leave I save all my change in a jar, last cruise had 180$ to gamble with and I don't go over that.

Not only does it depend on the length of the cruise, but the number of sea days as well. An itinerary with a lot of sea days tends to increase the shipboard charges:)

We generally spend around $100-150 per day for a family of 4. We don't really gamble (maybe $10 each) or play bingo, we buy one photo and are not big drinkers. We do enjoy a bottle of wine each night with dinner and DH will have a couple of cocktails throughout the week. The kids have gotten soda cards in the past, but I think we may forego those in the future. They don't consume enough to make it worth the $$, paying individually will be cheaper.

All said, every cruise has been different. Some we have booked shore excursions with, some not. We've had a couple of times where we find two pics we like and don't worry that we'll be getting more than we budgeted for. We love spa treatments, but have found them to be so overpriced at sea, we just do that at home at another time.

We have found that souvenir purchases tend to end up in the trash or Goodwill bag shortly after returning home, so shopping is not a highlight of our vacations at all.

Wow, to have a child spend more than what the cruise cost! Last time we went the boys were not able to use their card for any purchases. If they wanted to buy something I did it for them and that worked out great. They didnt do the arcade. So maybe this time I will put a small amount on theirs for the arcade! Thanks for the info!!!!! Everyone is great with ideas.

Wow, I can't believe you people get away with spending so little money!

Good for you!

I spent more than the $50 total someone mentioned just on my "voyager of the seas " sweatshirt that I purchased!

We've only been on two 7 day cruises.

1st one alone with my DH, spent $1300. This included all tips, my facial and manicure, Hubby's watch (anniversary present),3 photos, a few small gift shop puchases, and many yummy frozen drinks in souvenir glasses!

2nd cruise with our 3 kids also along, we still spent $1300!

No spa treatments this time,

fewer yummy frozen drinks,

tips included (5 people this time),

more souviners,

5 pairs of water shoes for Dunns river falls @ $20 a peice,

$150 arcade,

5 trips to Johnny Rockets (picky eater 15 year old son loved the food there!),

and lots of photos! I think I bought 20 of them!

We are very careful with our spending at home, but definately tend to be "drunkin' sailor" spenders while on vacation.

On our 7 night cruises, my SeaPass bill is usually between $1,200 - $2,200....no thanks to the bar tabs.... My statement looks like a phone book, however most of the charges look like this:

This represents a short list of only one day on the ship. Keep in mind that I have my other half on my account.

On our last 9 Day Explorer cruise, we received a refund(Cash) of $550.

We had a $600 OBC. As Diamond members we used the CC for free drinks in the evening and used the The Diamond value book for free Photo's Drinks etc.

All tipping was in cash. Excursions all booked privately. OBC consisted of

Stockholder benefit, OBC promo, and RCL Visa Rewards :)
