POH car rental in Maui

Was thinking of renting a car in Maui for 2 days while in port and did not know if there was a place to park the car at night. Would it be better to rent one day at a time? Any information would be helpful.

Short answer: Yes, there are places to park overnight; no, it would not be better to rent each day individually.

There are parking lots right next to the pier where POH docks. The parking is free. They have a small lot right outside of the security gates and a couple of others that are a bit farther away from the pier, but still within walking distance.

 

We rented a car for two nights in Maui so we wouldn't have the hassle of going back to the rental agency and renting the car again. On the second day, we just got off the ship very early and headed to Haleakala Crater.
