DiN2cruzagain Posted November 11, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2006 We are going on the Valor ( Western) in February and are looking for the best excursions that are land based. I know most everyone goes snorkling, cave tubing and swimming with the stingrays but the water activities and the zip lines are not for me. (other than laying around the water drinking margaritas ) If you could share your experiences or any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much! osiebosie Posted November 11, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2006 Consider going on your own. Some of our best tour guides were taxi drivers! They also know the island like the back of their hand. Just tell them what you are wanting to do. Sometimes we rent vehicles and just take off. We've NEVER had a problem with getting back to the ship on time. Rare finoky Posted November 11, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 11, 2006 If you like ruins you can check either Lamanai in Belize or Chaccoben(sp) in Costa Maya. An island tour in Grand Cayman is fine if you have never been. Sea Grape, which is on the far end of Seven Mile Beach, is a great beach if you are looking for a beach day. Grand Cayman may be your best bet for that. Never been to Roatan so I can't comment on that.
