HELP..... Cruise INS.

I am sailing on the Infinity on Oct.17th and must pay in full in about a week. My question is, when should I purchase insurance.Doesn't it make the cost go up if i must insure myself 70 days ?You guys always give good advise.Thanx

You only insure your trip from the time you intend to leave your house to when you get back to your house. Include theprice of airfare and hotel as well as total cost of your cruise tickets. Most insurance companies wont insure pre-existing conditions unless you purchase it within 14 days of buying your ticket. Go to insuremytrip.com to figure out which one you want. Also ask your travel agent. Do not get cruiseline's as they only cover the cruise portion (unless you are getting air and hotel throught them) and only give you some of it back in a credit towards another cruise.

 

So Your cruise is from the 2 - 8 aug. You are flying down day ahead on the 1st Aug (AA $345.00/per). You have hotel priceline for $45.00. Your booked for a post cruise hotel hotwire $50.00 for 8-10 aug. You insure your trip from the 1-10 Aug. Your Cruise total cost was $2000.00 + $690.00 for flight + $145.00 for hotels = $2835.00 is what you insure your trip for 10 days. You also get medical ( including emergency transfer $50,000.00) and baggage and trip cancellation with it.
