Is the Ray Runner Excursion worth it?

We are cruising on Carnival Miracle in 2 weeks, and are considering the Ray Runner excursion. I am pregnant, and this may be the only exciting boat related thing I could do; previously I was planning uvero boats, thriller boat, other speed boats. So, to add more fun to the stingray city trip, I thought this would be a good idea, obviously, it doubles the price. Has anyone done this? Were you in charge of the boat, and timing of when you left stingray city/snorkeling area? Was it worth the extra expense? Thanks for any info!!!
