taby027 Posted November 15, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2006 Was looking to do a show whilst we are in Paris next year, and Moulin Rouge obviously came to mind, I have spoken to a TA here and they said it is overated and better to do the Lido or the Follies de burge.... would anyone agree with this or have any suggestions to this. Appreciate your comments.

I agree..we did the M.R. and for dinner and the show, it was close to $200.00 ( U.S.) p.p...the dinner was nothing...very small portions and not very good. The show was just okay. We wished we had done something different for that amt. of money!!
tclowe Posted November 26, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 26, 2006 We went to the Le Lido show (no dinner, just the show) about three years ago with my 4 year old son in tow. All three of us enjoyed the show. It wasn't all risque. Beautiful costumes, very Vegas-like, nice hosts and hostesses (or we got better service because we had a kid with us), and a good variety of acts (singing, dancing girls, top-less girls, ice-skating show, and acrobatic show). We chose Le Lido over Moulin because Le Lido theatre was located in a much better neighborhood with metro station nearby. Moulin's neighborhood is fine in the daytime but appears run down at night. I think we got a slight discount for ordering the tickets to Le Lido by internet. Paris is absolute beautiful and fun. We spent two weeks there and it wasn't enough! Happy Planning.
