We got back from the Fantasy's Nov 9, 2006 on Monday. Have been buried in paperwork (one of the pleasures of being self employed-NOT).

We left last Wednesday and spent the night in Biloxi. Got up and we were at the port at 12:00. For anyone coming in from the east on I-10 expect a short delay as they are working on the interstate. Since we are Platinum and CVC members we checked in thru VIP. On the other times we went out of New Orleans we had VIP check-in but not boarding. This time we had both and were personally escorted through the line and up to where you get your picture on your S & S card. We were on the Lido deck in less than 20 minutes. Our cabin was E140 on the Empress deck and they did have the doors closed so we headed up to the Lido and shortly after our friends (who were regular check in) met us and we had lunch and a drink of the day.

Just to let all of you Carnival rueben sandwich fans know-the deli is right next to the pizza and is opened most days from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The food on the lido was pretty good. We ate lunch on the Lido everyday. Ruebens almost everyday except for the one day (cozumel) I ordered Ceasar Salad w/chicken from room service and it was excellent.

Although I never met our cabin steward -which is strange cause we always have met them on all our other cruises, I called him and asked him for ice for my diet cokes and he kept my collaspable cooler filled with ice the whole cruise. I swear he must have been hiding under the bed cause although I never saw him our cabin was kept immaculate.

We ate dinner in the dining room everynight and I would say the food was fair.

Not as good as past cruises but it was okay. There were 8 of us and on a couple of night the steaks were tough and not cooked as requested**. I had the talapia the first night and it was great and the strip steak and lobster were also good. We last cruised in March 06/Holiday and don't remember them having on the menu where you had the option of ordering the same thing (shrimp cocktail, strip steak, etc.) besides the new things everynight.

Can't say enough good things about our waiter/asst. They were really good and we were out of the dining room by 9:00 (8:00 sitting). They kept the courses moving right along.

I didn't go to any of the production shows but did go see the comedians are they were really funny. And I never miss the newlywed-not so newlywed game. I won $150.00 playing bingo and a bottle of champagne in the drawing of the loser scratch tickets.

We docked in downtown Cozumel and had planned on going to Paradise Beach but since some of our group aren't beach lovers we decided just to do a little shopping. We had a few drinks and appetizers at Fat Tuesdays. Its kind of a tradition, my DH and I have always stopped at Fat Tuesday's for a drink everytime we are in Coz. I bought a neckalce to match my ring that I got in St Marteen at DI. We were celebrating our 12th anniversary and since I am the better haggler I picked it out and got the price I wanted.

Overall this is probably one of the best cruises we have taken. Just a nice relaxing time with friends. I am thrilled that the Fantasy is going out of New Orleans again. We will probably book another cruise for January because we really liked everything about the

Fantasy.
