joesixpack Posted November 17, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2006 Ok I am having problems with planning a stingray tour with anyone because we get in at 9am and there are 7 ships docking on 11/29. If I try to book a 10 am 3 stop tour, I can't make a 9:15 pickup time. i am sure there are tours galore but I would prefer a 3 stop tour. Secondly, if I do not book online, will I get hosed by the tour operators at the tendor docks hustling tourists paying more and getting less? What can anyone suggest or recommend please? jmo1 Posted November 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2006 GC is not the kind of port that has a lot of hustlers selling tours near the tender docks. Most of the tours operators sell their tours through offices near the docks, and through the internet. The better tour operators (Capt. Marvin) will sell out by the day of the tour on busy ship days. The cattle car type operators might not sell out. It's your risk if you don't book in advance. Most operators have afternoon trips that end late afternoon. If your ship stays at port until 7:00 PM or later you could do on of them. I am aware that most ship leave around 5:00 PM or earlier.
NEW 2 CRUISIN Posted November 17, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 17, 2006 Hey SIXPACK! Play it safe and book your tour through the ship. You are more likely to get the tour you want and be able to do it within your ship's port times. Better safe than sorry! I was quite surprised how quickly Grand Cayman filled up after the other two ships arrived! Royal Caribbean's tour operators took great care of us on our pre-booked excursion, so I have no reason to do it any other way in the future!
