C&A coupon books

Recommended Posts

You say it's your 3rd cruise so I'm gonna go with the fact you have less than 5 credits and with that you would be at the Gold Level which would allow you the use of the Gold Level Savings Certificates. Here is a link to a scanned copy of those certificates that are good until 12/31/06. Gold Saving Certificates 4th Qtr 2006

Make sure the new page is fully expanded to get a better view of the certs. The image is rather large so if you are not able to read it easily just click on the image and it should go to full size.

HunnyBunnyTink: I am concerned about the fact that this is your third cruise in that if you signed up for Crown and Anchor after your first cruise you should have received the onboard coupon books (one for each of you as you will have individual memberships) on your second cruise. If it was a 7-night or longer, you should also have received an invite to the C&A onboard party. The reason I'm concerned is that if you did receive these things, you would most likely know what to expect. That you don't tells me that you may not be C&A members.

I'm assuming that you didn't receive the coupon books or invite on your second cruise? (I know shouldn't assume, but...) Did you sign up for C&A after your first cruise? Unlike some cruise lines, C&A membership is not automatic; you have to actually sign up for it after you complete your first cruise.

If you haven't done so, go to the RCI website and sign up (or call and they will get you signed up over the phone). Each person needs to sign up individually; there is no "family" membership. Each person who cruises gets the appropriate cruise credits. It doesn't matter who paid for the cruise, and family members do not accrue credits for cruises taken by other family members. (In other words, they don't add all your credits together for a household total.)

With 2 cruises, you will almost certainly be at the Gold level. However, if your first cruise and second cruise qualified for multiple credits, it's possible that you will be Platinum. The credits are awarded like this:

1 credit for any cruise

1 additional credit for a cruise in a JS or above

1 additional credit for a 12-night or longer cruise

Maximum credits per cruise = 3

So, if you took long cruises in a JS or above, you might have 5 or 6 credits. Otherwise, you will have 2 credits now with a third to be added after this upcoming cruise.

The coupons lv2bcruzin is linking you to are the C&A discount certificates for specific cruises. This is things like $50 off (per cabin, not per person) a specific date and ship for booking an inside cabin, or $100 off a specific date and ship for booking a balcony or above, etc. Usually, the higher your C&A level, the more $$ the discount.

The onboard coupon book you are asking about is a different thing entirely. But the most important thing is to make sure you are signed up for C&A. (If you are, great, but make sure that it is noted on your reservation. You will get the onboard coupon book, an invite to the C&A party, and whatever the commemorative gift is right now.)

May I ask. If you are 18, then you need your own C&A # and you inherit dad's credits since you cruised with him before. If you are under then you are part of dad's credits. So you cruise together? Every cruise the coupon book is on the bed or on the desk for him to use.

If you have his C&A number, goto MY CRUISES area of www.RCCL.com and type in his number with name & address to sign him up. It will tell you how many cruise credits he has. If it doesn't know him then he better call C&A.

I am understanding your question to be asking about the coupon book left in the room. For every person that has signed up to be a crown and anchor member, there will be a book in the room. The gold member book contain coupons for wine tasting, spa credit, bingo credit, casino credit, johnny rockets, internet credit credit, gift shop credit, Ben and Jerry's credit, etc.

Thanks for the website, I'll keep checking back. Yes, my dad signed up for C&A but I had heard that we get the coupon book onboard. I don't remember our last RCI cruise as I was only 10 at the time but I know that we have 3 credits so we are still at the gold level.

Just to let you know the site is back up now if you haven't checked recently, so the link above works.

Wow, I guess I totally misunderstood which set of coupons you were talking about. Granted one is a coupon book and the other are called Savings Certificates. So, I guess disregard my posts. Sorry. :p

No way. Savings certificates are important too. Anything that helps C&A members save $$ on their cruises is good information to have.
