sdf89 Posted July 18, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2004 It sounds like there is a lecture series on most Navigator trips. Does anyone know how far in advance one can know the topic/speaker?
Ngaire Posted July 20, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2004 The entertainment and lecture program is seldom announced in advance unless it is some really famous person they want to advertise.
Dolphins Posted July 20, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2004 I'm sure the lectures are related to the destination. On our May Navigator cruise to Bermuda, we had two interesting lectures by a Bermuda resident. I assume the New england/Canada cruises will feature lectures on those destinations. gardencat Posted July 21, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 21, 2004 Dolphins Just wanted to thank you for posting the link to your Radisson review on the NCL board for me. There were so many posts on the thread that I didn't notice yours right away but found it today and read the review. The cruise sounded great. I did sort of look at Radisson before booking our fall cruise on Celebrity, but was discouraged, since I usually browse the net to find good prices ,and most on-line TAs don't seem to post the prices for Radisson ,you have to call or e-mail them for a quote. Then they call you back etc. With the more mass market lines you can get a pretty good idea of what you are going to be paying for various comparable cruises before contacting a TA. Will look into it maybe for spring or fall 2005.
xena Posted July 22, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 22, 2004 We just completed the cruise and they had a lecturer speaking about the importance of rum to Bermuda during its settlement.
