saramichelman Posted November 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2006 hi. We're going on the 7 day cruise to puerto vaillarta, cabo and mazatlan and bringing our 6 month old son. Do we take the infant carrier with us? I'm planning on bringing our umbrella stroller, but I don't know how we'd get around from the boat to the beach and other places. thanks! Kerry's Girls Posted November 21, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 21, 2006 You can't count on taxis or the bus in the ports having the seat belts required to use an infant seat. In Puerto Vallarta, you can walk to the Krystal hotel and pay to use it's beach/pool/facilities ($20 per person). The others don't have beaches within walking distance that I know of (in Cabo, there are water taxis though), so you'd have to rely on one of the excursion vans or busses, or just chance a taxi. Re: the umbrella stroller - You're really going to want a stroller that a) has a reclining seat, so your baby can sleep; and b) has a sun cover. If your umbrella stroller doesn't have these, you might want to bring a regular one. Have a great trip! Best, Mia
crusinmama06 Posted November 21, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 21, 2006 I completly agree with Mia. We *have* taken our infant car seat but we only did it so our daughter would have a comfortable place to sleep on the plane, not to ride in taxis. I got a travel umbrella stroller that reclines and has a roof for shade.
