karen sharpe Posted November 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2006 Could anyone tell me the cost of a cab from Livorno to Florence? Were many cabs/vans available on docking? Thanks!
QueenofScreen Posted November 21, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 21, 2006 I have more links to sort thru, so will have an answer soon. The city center of Livorno is about 1 km from port, and Florence is about 1.5 - 2hrs drive from Livorno........ would think a taxi is costly, but a limo rental better bang for the buck. karen sharpe Posted November 21, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted November 21, 2006 Lomoinrome sounds good ---600 euros for 8. covering Pisa and Florence ---and shopping! works out to about $220.00 can. per couple. Do you know if the limo stays with you for the whole day? And thanks!

If you are inside a museum, or shopping, the driver will arrange a place and pick-up time. Sometimes the driver has to move the vehicle to another area of the city to wait for you. The drivers are very good about working out the logistics and details with you.

rykersdad Posted November 22, 2006 #6 Share Posted November 22, 2006 don't forget, in some city's drivers need special licences to go into pedestrian only areas of cities in Europe (expensive licences). If the driver you hire is not allowed in the city center, they may drop you off quite a distance from where you want to be.
