Do Grand Cayman islanders

We drive on the left. It works best if everyone does ;)

Rental cars are a mixture of American style (steering wheel on the left) and British style (steering on right).

Speed limits are posted in Miles Per Hour. A few rental cars only have speedometer readings in kilometers per hour. For those cars, it's easiest to just follow the flow of traffic rather than try to determine the speed conversions.

drive on the right or the left side of the road?

We are thinking of renting a car for the day but won't do it if we have to drive on the left.

Thanks!

We rented a car while we were there for the week. We were a bit concerned about driving on the oposite side of the road, but we ended up getting a car with the steering on the left, and things went well.

Traffic does not move that fast, and the Cayman drivers are very courteous. We had no problems at all. The great thing about having your own car is you will be able to get away from the crowds in George Town and along 7MB. We loved the East End, Savannah and Bodden Town area.
