lephysteria Posted November 22, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2006 Hi, Has anyone here either bought or received an RCCL gift certificate? I am looking into giving one as gifts this year for Christmas (anything to avoid the mall), and was hoping to get a little insight as to how easy they are to get and redeem. Thanks :D
LovesCruising Posted November 25, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 25, 2006 My daughter gave one to my son for his b'day. It came in a very nice little folder. He had to call to activate it before the cruise - I think 3 or 4 days before - very easy - no problems - credit was on his sea pass the first day. Great idea - would love to have one myself! masonpips Posted November 25, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 25, 2006 I bought one for a girlfriend in August using the online system. I was able to print a nice certificate and gave it to her in a bon voyage card. She had to call at least 4 days in advance to activate it, but that was super easy. hersheyl Posted November 26, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 26, 2006 I just received the certificate in the mail today that we purchased for my DH's Brother and Sister in law. I purchased online and could have had it mailed directly to them. We are giving one to his Sister and Brother in law also...they are sailing with us on our next adventure. I can't think of a better gift!
lephysteria Posted November 26, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted November 26, 2006 Thank you all sooooo much! I will do anything to avoid the mall after making friends on Black Friday. (I was shopping for a new Christmas Tree) These gift certificates seemed like the perfect gift, especially since you don't have to go to the mall for it! :)
Bahama Mama 40 Posted November 27, 2006 #6 Share Posted November 27, 2006 Does anyone know if I purchased gift certificates for my kids for Christmas could I have them put on their individual seapass cards?
TennisLover Posted December 18, 2006 #7 Share Posted December 18, 2006 I searched for this, but only found other gift certificate threads, so I'm just adding to this one. I received a GC as a Hanukah gift and just went on-line to apply it to my cruise for OBC (cruise isn't until February). Now, I'm in my on-line account and don't know where to look to make sure it has been applied. I also purchased and applied GCs to my parents and brother's account (I bought them GCs also -- very popular gift this year!). I want to make sure they are all set too. So, for my account, I am currently in my "booking dashboard." Where can I see if my OBC is applied correctly?

Annieeee Posted February 25, 2007 #9 Share Posted February 25, 2007 Do the certificates have an expiration date? Annieeee

I've never seen them on my online profile, but I just call the Crown & Anchor # and ask them to pull up my reservation and let me know if the OBC is listed. It's always been there.
