Cozumel excursions...........

If sightseeing isn't your bag, just drinking and eating ((wink)), then you certainly can do that on your own. There are ample establishments to do that all along that LONG shopping strip downtown! You'll have lotsa access to souvenirs and wonderful shopping options also---so no need to take a ship's excursion there at all. Hop a taxi (if you don't tender in close enought to donwtown) and enjoy!!!

Go to Paradise Beach on your own. Great beach! There will be lines of taxis waiting for you just outside the shopping area ~ just ask anyone, it's very easy to find. Taxi to Paradise Beach is around $3 - $4 per person.

PB has lounge chairs with umbrellas, great food and drinks. Service is wonderful ~ waiters bring you food & drinks right to your lounger. They have water toys you can use for $8 (at least in March it was) for the whole day. Float mats, floating iceburg and trampoline, kayaks.

As long as you spend about $10 per person, you can hang out in the lounge chairs all day long. This was our favorite day of our Miracle cruise.

Have fun! :)

if you go to Cozumelexcursions.com you can find an excursion to the All Inclusive Resort Day Pass at The Reef Club in Cozumel. It costs 40 PP and you have to paya cab to take you there (15 bucks total for four people on the cab). But they only allow 50-100 people into the beach area at one time. The beach and fee inccludes free all you can drink drinks (Beer, Liquor, Mixed Drinks, water, soda, etc) an all you can eat lunch buffet that I have heard is very good, and a BBQ joint that is also there on the beach in the club area. It has three private swimming pools and you have unlimited access to all the non motorized water sports. WELL Worth the money. We did the snorkel beach party catamaran the first time and it was all you could drink but not eat, and it was like 55 bucks per person. We are booked for the Reef Club THis upcoming sept cruise...looking forward to it!

For food, drink and fun you don't need to leave town. Try a nice restaurant in town like Pancho's Backyard in Los Cinco Soles for lunch. Be careful with the margaritas, two is plenty. Afterward take a stroll around town and wind up at Carlos and Charlie's for fun and drinks until it's time to stagger back to the ship. ;)

The beach recommendations you have received are all fine suggestions for food drink sun and fun. If you want to go to the beach pick one. Since you didn't mention the beach in your post I thought I would chime in.

Ditto on Paradise Beach! We did this also on our Miracle cruise. Had a great time and it was the only sun we had the entire cruise except for our first sea day. Nice place with plenty of chairs and umbrellas, clean restrooms separate from the changing rooms, showers, good food, good drinks and a little shop. If you go say hi to PB Tom!

We did paradise beach a few weeks ago and loved it and want so badly to go back! The taxi from the port was $6 to get on the beach was free for the most part unless you want to go on the trampoline in the ocean which if you have no kids you won't want to do so it's free to get in, you just have to pay for drinks and food, the food there was great and the beach was amazing!!!

We just got back from Cozumel this week on from a Glory cruise. The sea was rough but we booked Swimming with the Dolphins. It was great. We got to dance with them, pet them, feed them, kiss them, let them kiss you, and have them pull you in the water. We would do it again in a New York minute.
