upgirl Posted November 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 27, 2006 Just got back from our trip on Explorer of the Seas. We found the hole in the fence and went to Cha Chi early about 10 am, found the place to be less than desirable, lots of broken glass on the beach, and buildings and chairs in need of repair . There was no one there to sell us drinks or food so we packed up and headed to Majahual. In the town, we stopped part way down the main drag and had many beers (6 for $10), great chips and salsa and enjoyed the beautiful beach. Several in our group got massages, my husband only paid $10 for his which lasted almost 40 minutes. We had 14 of us ranging from 20 to 76 and all thoroughly enjoyed our Costa Maya stop. Any info would be appreciated as I get on the ship on sunday. thanks! Nice thing about Majahual is that its just one long beach with places to eat and drink all up and down it. you can walk the length of it in about 15min or so. Just walk along and find a place you like and start ordering!
