excurions ship time/island time

I am looking at booking my shore excursions. My itinerary says docking at Cozumel at 10am. This is ship time I assume? Is that the same time as cozumel?

When I go to the shore excursions page, it has some of the excursions starting at 9am! before we dock. And the rest of the excursions list 10am

 

I want to book on my own in cozumel, not through the cruise line but don't want to screw up on the times!

Cozumel is one hour behind. But keep your watch and appointments on ship time, because that's what counts or you miss the boat!! Shiptime doesn't change.

What ship are you sailing? Some ships will be on the same time as Cozumel, some ships won't. It depends on the Captain, your itinerary, and what embarkation port was.

this way you will never be late. Better to be early if shore time is different, so shop a little or have a drink. Ship time is the most important.
