LA-Mom Posted November 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 28, 2006 We are sailing on the RCCL Vision of the Seas in two weeks. I am planning to book a tour on the Miragalante Pirate Ship in Puerto Vallarta on December 14. PuertoVallartaTours.net is charging $61.50 for adults and $31 for children. VallartaOnline is charging $57 for adults and $28 for children. VallartaOnline.com posts the following on their site: If you cancel 36 hours before your tour, refund less 5% for Visa or MasterCard and 6% for American Express administration fee. If you cancel after 36 hours prior to your tour it is considered “No Show”. There are no refunds available for 'No Show' reservations. Being late, not at departure point, or meeting point, or if you miss the tour completely this is also considered a “No Show”, and there will be no refund. PuertoVallartaTours.net posts the following on their site: Special VIP Priveleges! All customers of Puerto Vallarta Tours will receive a special VIP wristband that will entitle you to special VIP seating and priveleges throughout the Pirate Ship tour. In Addition, if you're on a ship, we'll meet you at your cruise ship and escort you to the Marigalante! Free Discount Card with your reservation! It also looks like they have a no port, no pay policy. According to the graphic on their site, if the ship is late or skips the port, I can get a refund. I am waiting for VallartaOnline to get back to me. Does anyone know if VallartaOnline has the same refund policies for cruise passengers as PuertoVallartaTours? Is there any other difference worth noting in these tour operators? There is a $15 dollar total savings if I choose VallartaOnline but it may not be worth it if they have strict no refund policies for cruise ship passengers. I don't care about the VIP seating or special discount card from PuertoVallartaTours. My main issue is refund flexibility versus paying an extra $15 for the same exact tour.
