Hey All-Just got off the Fabulous Freedom of the Seas this past Sunday and had a terrific time...amazing ship!! We are booked on the new Liberty of the Seas for next Nov.10 '07 but decided to take a short 4 nighter on maybe the the Enchantment..I know it's not a Voyager class ship, but does anyone have an opinion to just do a short 4 nighter to satisfy our cruise withdrawal feeling? We don't want to wait another full year to cruise,so I'm looking at the April 19 cruise in a Junior Suite........

Also I notice there is not a sports bar on board, correct? Any info on shows, lounges, pool area(how is the new pool area?),and any other fun stuff to do would be great...wife & I have done 16 cruises, most recently Disney,Mariner & Freedom,so we are veterans.....Thanks!

I was on E in Oct and she makes a great short cruise ship. I was very pleased to be able to sail her rather than Majesty or Sovereign - both b/c E is so much nicer, and b/c of her Western Caribb itinerary (the Bahamas don't do anything for me and, depending on when you go, it can be chilly).

There is no sports bar, but you can often watch limited sports programming at the casino bar.

You cant compare the freedom/liberty with the enchantment, they are totally different boats. But I love both the voyager class and vision class ships. I have been on both and in fact I am booked for the mariner and the enchantment next year. You will have a great time. The crew on the boat are a lot of fun, most of them have been on the boat for a long time. I dont think you will regret it, just cant expect all those things you get on the voyager class ship..but its fun!

We have been on Voyager, Mariner, Explorer, Sovereign, and the Enchantment and my favorite is the Enchantment, beautiful ship and wonderful staff. It does not have the ice rink or promonade (sp) but it is by far my favorite. One of the many reasons I like it is there are soooooo many windows in the common areas to look out from the inside it really makes it nice. On the Voyager class ships, not too much glass to see out of due to the promonade.

We loved our Enchantment cruise and have scheduled another on her.

I didn't think the pool deck was as amazing as most people tend to think. But there is nothing wrong with it either. I just had it in my head that it would be much more spectacular than it seemed to me in person.

But there was nothing at all we didn't like about the cruise...Other than the 2 adult males ringing the doorbell over and over in the hall outside their suite after midnight - trying to wake up the unattended 2 boys sleeping in the room that had an interior door adjoining ours. It seems their key wouldn't work, or so they told me in their drunken stupor when I stuck my head out the door and asked them to stop. The unattended boys would fight and scream during the early evening hours - loud and clearly heard in our room. :D This of course was the luck of the draw for this cruise and nothing concerning the ship or it's staff.

You will love the Enchantment. We have cruised her twice in the last 3 years and absolutely love it. It's a beautiful ship and the staff are the best. As you know it is smaller so be prepared for that.

I sailed Enchantment 11/16. It was my second cruise, and I was pleasantly surprised how wonderful it was. Our first cruise was Jewel of the Seas, and I was worried I wouldn't be impressed with the older, smaller ship.

I am married with no kids, so our cruises are all about alcohol and adventure.

The new bedding was ace, and I felt the Windjammer was a bit nicer than Jewel! The cabin steward and waiters were better, but the bartenders were not as eager to please as the jewel (where our bartenders got $20/ day in tips)

The only thing I was a little disappointed with was the Enchantment is very much a family-oriented ship, and I found it a little embarassing being the only adults doing some of the activities! Not to mention feeling a little guilty downing alcohol around the kids.

I would definitely do Enchantment again- it is a beautiful ship and will not disappoint in terms of amenities.

Gosh, sorry but they are not boats, they are ships. Couldnt resist.
