massfamilyof4 Posted November 29, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2006 We have booked a balcony cabin and a promenade room for our RCCL cruise in February. My 2 sons, age 6 and 13 will be in the promenade room across the hall from my husband and I. For the same amount of $$, we could all be in a suite...one large room. Would you go for the junior suite or stay with the 2 rooms? Your input is appreciated!
kitty9 Posted November 29, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2006 Others may disagree, but I feel with children that young, it's not the best idea for them to be alone in a cabin. It's different if the older one was 16 or older, but after teaching middle school kids, they aren't the most mature persons on the planet. If they were connecting cabins, that's another story, but even being across the hall, I wouldn't be comfortable with their ages and being alone. caribbean dreams Posted November 29, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2006 Hummmmm, i would say, get the suite, with their ages and the kids programs you will get to have plenty of alone time, plus not have to worry about them alone at night in their own cabin. Cruisin' Chick Posted November 29, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 29, 2006 I would be concerned too. As c.d. said above, you'll get plenty of alone time when they're in the kids program.
Eskwire Posted November 29, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 29, 2006 If something happens you would want them more accessable to you in your cabin or connecting cabins. (list, fire, etc....unfortunately we have to think of these things with our most precious cargo!!)
