The Port side was covered by Ryan and Starboard by John. Both are awesome guys.

We've had him twice now. Fabulous guy. Wish I'd thought to ask before because I would have sent him regards through you from my Mother in Law who fell in love with him!

Thanks

FlyingPirate---thanks for the pictures and sharing your cruise with us. You guys had a ball and enjoyed yourselves to the ultimate. Cannot wait until April--all these pictures and tales from the Pearl are making it hard to be patient. Wish I could take one of the 9 dayers sooner but alas---unless I win a 5 day ????

Again thanks for all the pictures.:)

Wasn't Sonja the greatest... we had her on the Star both times.

Thanks for letting everyone enjoy your cruise. Great pictures. I just love the clear partitions on the balcony. - what a great way to improve the view. Bliss is a little loud for my tastes - looks like the inside of a pimp mobile. (not that I'd know) ;) But the rest of the Pearl is fantastic. NCL did a great job on this one. IMO - Now if I could only win one of the last two birthday cruises I might be able to see for myself. :D

I can't see a link in the post where flyingpirate says to click on the link below to see her pictures. Can someone repost it or tell me where to find it? Thanks!

Flyingpirate is referring to the webshots link in her signature - the first album is the Transatlantic photos. Here is the link to save you going back a page

Thanks so much for the link. I'm not seeing any signatures (which is why I can't see the original link.) Is there some kind of viewing option that I need to change?

Click on UserCP (Control Panel) near the top left of the page. On the left side of the page you should see "edit options", click on it. Go down the page a bit and you should see "Thread display options" just check the box for showing signatures and you should be all set.:)

To Shoreguy, flying pirate, snoopyto, snorklin barb and all other CC members to braved the hurricane on the Pearls transatlantic voyage.

From: One who originally booked that voyage and then had to cancel.

The charity work I have been doing has been rewarding (why I had to cancel) but reading your blogs, reviews and postings have made me sad I wasn't onboard with you. I missed a lot of great get togethers with other CC members.

I have enjoyed reading about the new Pearl. I am excited for an anniversary for my DH and I in April on the Pearl. Courtyard villa.

Shoreguy and flyingpirate: I really enjoyed viewing your photos. I like that the Bliss Lounge was titled by Laurel as the Bowlingbordello. I think that the look is way over the top for me. I don't get the bed idea at all.

Great picture of John the butler. He was the butler for my sister and I on the Jewel last year.

Look forward to bowling at sea soon.

Marilyn

I was wondering if you could tell me about the Villa bar list? I would like to know what I will have to select from so I can make additions if we will need them. Thanks for all the wonderful photos! I feel as though I will be right at home in the Villa because of the Pics you have posted!:)

Slots in the Pearl Casino were the loosest we have ever come across on a cruise ship. We are not big gamblers and played for ages with $20, winning constantly, the downside is that we, like most people put it all back in but had a fun time doing it. Slightly off subject - Shoreguy is telling the way it is when he says that we all had access to Klaus, Prem his assistant and other senior members of staff. As CC members we were given direct phone numbers and had we any complaints, I am sure they would have been dealt with professionally and quickly. However, ALL guests could have gone to Guest Services and I am sure many did. SG was given the same priviledges as other suite guests and why not - he paid for them.

I was one who went to Guest Services, but found them to be very unhelpful, and unknowledgeable.

I, like Flying Pirate, use a walking frame to get around. The door to our cabin was not wide enough to take it without folding it down every time. So I asked if anything else was available, but was told "no, the ship was fully booked" and that was that. Later in the cruise, I found people who had moved to different cabins for some reason or another. So I was not at all impressed.

The cabin we had was not the usual long shaped one, it was a sideways one, with not quite as much room as the others, and, as I said, the doorways were narrower.

On the whole, the cruise was good. Mostly because of the people we met. But I don't think NCL are anything special. Maybe I'm not Americanised enough to appreciate them.

Enjoyed our stay in Miami, and would love to go back and spend more time there.

Thanks to everyone for the Info. before the cruise. And a special Hello to Ken and his Mum.

Mike and Marn.

Well, I have finally gotten our photos consolidated. I have moved them up to webshots. I will have to take time to work on the actual trip report. But with Christmas and all. But as they say a picture is worth a thousand words. Most of them are of the Garden Villa

Yorkshire cruisers, we heard one person complained about his cabin, he got upgraded, then complained he could not sleep because of the ship rocking, he was given a cabin lower to sleep in, and the other to use through the day, how crazy is that. As far as upgrades go NCL should look into the TA they are allocating cabins to, and the prices they are charging. We were charged by Voyana a lot more for an inside cabin than some payed for outside with balcony. I am not a winger just speaking true facts, end of story.
