How many minutes is the westin hotel from the pier? Is there another area of the beach that is closer?

From the posts I have read, it sounds like the Westin hotel is pretty close to the pier. You might try going to their website. Most hotels have maps of the vicinity showing exactly where they are in relation to everything else. You can also look up any amenities they offer including day passes.

About a 5 to 7 minute taxi ride, depending on traffic which can get pretty congested!
